Hey guys! I am so excited to be teaming up with Rack Rooms Shoes and Puma to share with you the Puma Rebel trainer. I'm loving this clean minimalistic shoe. I chose the grey/white in typical Courtney fashion, but they're also available in a sleek black and hot pink. As I'm sure you're all well aware, I'm a huge fan of the athleisure trend and I think it's amazing to see how trainers have become a staple in the fashion world and how they're being integrated into so many different looks.
A few years ago I was that girl who refused to wear sneakers unless I was hitting the pavement or hitting the gym. I had a strict no sneakers and jeans policy (which still holds in some instances) and literally only had one pair of trainers in my closet. I've had a total change of heart though and am completely sold. As brands have created more luxe lines it's so easy to rock sneakers and leggings in the gym, at work, running errands, or chasing a toddler; living in total comfort but still being on trend.
I find the easiest way to style athleisure for daily wear without looking like you gave up is to incorporate edgy pieces with your favorite go-to gym-wear. It gives the outfit some structure and just makes everything look a bit more put together. I love this look of the Puma rebel paired with a leather jacket and some comfy layering tees. These pieces keep you looking fierce rather than frumpy. It's the perfect street style ready-to-wear outfit.
Sneakers have now become such a big part of everyday fashion and I think they're here to stay. What's not to love about a look that is comfortable and practical, and yet can look clean and cool, and can really compliment a look? I just love the casual-cool vibe.
My advice to you guys is if you haven't styled sneakers with your daily look yet, it's time to get out of your comfort zone and bust out those sneakers! Give it a try. I think you'll be surprised how put together you can look while rocking sneakers and a hoodie.
